The objective of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is to enable a computer to (better) solve human problems. In Toulouse, an AI using "automated reasoning" algorithms has been able to design an artificial hyper-stable self-assembling protein. This is the result of work involving the MIAT unit, in an informal international collaboration with Belgium and Japan.

A diet based on MON 810 or NK603 transgenic maize does not affect the health or metabolism of rats, under the conditions of the GMO 90+1 project. This unprecedented study performed by a research consortium led by INRA brought together a number of partners, including Inserm. The research was performed as part of the Risk’OGM program funded by the French Ministry of Ecological and Inclusive Transition.

Downy mildew is a sunflower disease that can lead to an almost total loss of yield in the case of serious attacks. Thanks to long work on valorization of natural genomic resources and to the development of new genotyping technologies, scientists and technicians at the plant-microorganisms interactions laboratory (LIPM) have improved understanding of infection mechanisms which should help to reinforce disease resistance of sunflower in the field.
