Organization of Agricultural Research, within the 3 INRA thematic fields: agriculture, feed, environment, needs to be supported by tools and technological device for analysis, observation and experimentation. Hence, INRA now holds anexperimental facility, the single one in France, for studies on plants, animals and their products, agricultural environment. In order to solve biological functions of interest for Agronomic Research, our farms, experimental and technical facilities, technological platforms,  allow fundamental Research on various, complementary models: animal, plant, microbial.  Most of these tools are networking and part of integrative and structuring projects at a regional, national and European level.

Our system include both technological platforms and facilities, a biologic resource Centre, “omics” and bio engineering platforms (GIS GENOTOUL)a pre-industrial demonstrator, research units and experimental facilities and observatories for environment.

INRA, bedrock of Life Sciences, invested significantly in the development of new technologies for High Throughput data in genomics, metabolomics, imaging; for the production, management and dissemination of genomic resources, data computer processing.

Managed by INRA, these platforms are part of the regional Genotoul network, shared by other Research and Higher Teaching Institutions, and also part of national infrastructures.

Our Toulouse Centre gets the benefice of major top rank experimental and technological facilities.

Our goal for the next years is to perpetuate, boost the development and secure each of these structures, minding the specific constraints regarding regional background(or surrounding), making sure their development is as well coordinated in regard to our Centre policy than to the national and international networks.

The Centre provides 13 platforms and technological facilities, 4 experimental units and 3 technological units.

Rules of access

The platforms are available to public laboratories and industries. They render services in relation with research strategy and expertise of scientists involved:

- An on time and full service provided by our engineers and technical platform staff,
- And/Or an autonomous access to equipment

The outside users of our equipment get the benefice of a training for autonomous handling and can  also get a technical assistance. Files for request will be sent via email.
